Augustine University Students Inducted into Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary Association

On Sunday, August 4th, 2024, a group of students from Augustine University, Ilara-Epe were solemnly received into the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary Association during an induction ceremony hosted by the Isolo Deanery.

The ceremony was presided over by His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins, the Archbishop of Lagos Archdiocese and the Proprietor of Augustine University. 

In his homily during the Mass, Archbishop Martins emphasized the importance of raising children with the word of God, as it will remain with them forever and guide them well. 

He spoke from personal experience, noting that he was raised by parents who were strong devotees of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Archbishop Martins expressed his happiness that the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary Association had been formed within the Augustine University Chaplaincy. 

He encouraged the inducted students to be active members of the association and to deepen their faith and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
