Augustine University Mourns the Loss of Beloved Benefactor, Rev. Msgr. Patrick Obayomi

 Augustine University community is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Rev. Msgr. Patrick Obayomi, the respected Parish Priest of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Dean of Ikeja Deanery.

A revered benefactor of the Augustine University, Msgr. Obayomi was known for his generous support and sponsorship of the Best Behaved Male and Female Awards, which recognized exemplary character among students of AUI. 

The Vice-Chancellor of Augustine University, faculty members, and students have expressed their deep sorrow and condolences to the parishioners of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the entire Ikeja Deanery. 

The university community remembers Msgr. Obayomi as a man of faith and a beacon of hope whose legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

As we pray for the soul of Rev. Msgr. Patrick Obayomi, we ask our Blessed Mother Mary to intercede for him. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
